Function is the reason for every form in our designs. But we do not believe in the simple formula:
“form follows function”
We tend to use minimal geometric forms and materially honest surfaces — but we do not believe that
"less is more"
We place Platonic, ideal geometric forms into a complex system of interlocking processes: individual human lives, air, water, energy, insects, seeds, sunsets, rainfall, oxidation, petrification, evaporation, caustic light reflections, and ecological succession.
Then we follow the ways these processes bend, fuse, slice, shape, and re-shape the initial geometry.
We use materials that will remain in place like a new cliff, or degrade naturally over time, to present the forces and processes that shaped the architecture in visible and intelligible form.
We serve human intellect, sensuality, sexuality, playfulness, exploration and self-exploration, and human-to-human and human-to-environment relationships, creating new experiences through collaboration and cohabitation with complex nature.
Structure frames flows. Form follows interaction. Texture makes it felt.
