[ inspiration ]
The frame of the Soviet-era hotel stands in the valley of the Sodevi River, and one of our tasks was to creatively utilize the image of the old Soviet past slowly dissolving into the landscape of the Georgian valley.
Therefore, visually, we "detached" the monolith of the hotel from its base, transforming the base itself into hills with the same outlines as the nearby shores.

[ enviroment ]
On the northern facade, we create a scale-like pattern using balconies with bathrooms, oriented in a way that they face west rather than north or into each other.
On the southern facade, wooden shutters in the Pasanauri style form a constantly changing pattern.

[ solutions ]
All service rooms are covered with a hill-like roof, blending seamlessly into the landscape and not obstructing the view from the windows.
All concrete structures of the old hotel are encased in steel frames and ivy, while the luxurious interiors feature an intriguing theme of ruins.
